How the smartest people build
Last month, I promised myself that I’d show up more…
Easy goal right?
Well… I didn’t.
Somewhere between work and life, I missed a few days, then a few more,
and before I knew it, the month was gone.
But here’s the thing: I didn’t fail.
I just didn’t show up online because while the world didn’t see me out there, I was in my quiet place, building out of sight and intentionally.
Here’s the truth,
You don’t always need to show up to prove you’re building something.
Sometimes, you have to step away to build better.
Think about it.
Before construction begins, the site is cordoned off and a fence is built around it.
The space is then cleared and the foundation is rebuilt.
From the outside, it looks like nothing’s happening.
But on the inside?
Everything is being restructured.
That’s how the smartest people build.
• They protect their space
• They focus on their craft
• They’re unbothered by the opinions of others.
"You don’t always need to show up just to prove you’re building something."
The bottom line
Remember, the world is noisy and full of distractions.
So if you really want to build something that lasts:
• Cordon off your space.
• Build your foundation.
Then show up again, stronger and more aligned than before.
Progress in silence still counts, don't forget that.
